CranioSacral Therapy is a light touch therapy that eases restrictions in the nervous system and surrounding tissues. This light touch allows the practitioner to engage with and evaluate the nervous system in a non invasive manner. Releasing restrictions within the nervous system allows for improved flow of cerebrospinal fluid, the restorative bath our brain and spinal cord uses to replenish nutrients and flush waste from these vital areas. Physical or emotional traumas the body has been holding on to may be released as well.
CST sessions are done fully clothed.

Focus work for achy muscles but with a touch of CranioSacral Therapy to relax the nervous system and float off the table with a lovely “ahh” feeling.
This is recommended for acute pain, coming in for several sessions close together, then moved to a maintenance schedule, or as needed, to maintain flexibility and to keep the pain from returning.
Looking for sports massage? A blended therapeutic massage session can be tailored for your high intensity work out or running schedule.
The following techniques may be either included or suggested by Sarah, as needed, at no additional cost to your treatment:
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy
Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. This is recommended for pre and post surgical healing, swelling, allergies, and promoting overall health. I am unable to perform this treatment if you are in your 1st trimester of pregnancy, have had lymph nodes removed or biopsied, or have lymphedema, active cancer, or serious circulatory or respiratory issues.
This is a Traditional Chinese Medicine technique often referred to as “scraping”. Lotion is applied to the skin and then special Gua Sha tools are used to scrape the skin on areas of the body that have stagnant blood. It is traditionally used for upper respiratory ailments but I use it for pain management and scar tissue work. Areas of the body that are especially stagnant will produce a rash, or small red bruises called “petechiae” that will remain for several days.

Returning clients, please let me know 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged. In the event of severe weather, if the local school district, MCCSC, has cancelled school, appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled at no charge.
Arrival: Please arrive 10 minutes early to your appointment. Late arrivals will have their massage shortened to ensure the appointment doesn’t extend beyond the allotted time frame.
